Sunset on the Bluff
A picnic, a few good questions, and a new conversation as the sun goes down.
A STUDENT COMMUNITY TAKING SHAPE AT LMU
Shared evenings. Familiar faces.
Friendships that feel like coming home.
Come as you are. There is room for you here.
THE IDEA IS SIMPLE
Good Company is growing from a simple wish: a place at LMU where people remember your name and are happy to see you again.
As international students, we know how much it means to find your people. We are creating small, welcoming gatherings where friendships have time to grow through games, shared stories, and trying something new together.
You can be finding your first friends, expanding your circle, or simply looking for more meaningful time with people. There is a place for you here.
What an evening looks likeEVENINGS WORTH SHARING
A little play. A little discovery.
Every night is a chance to connect.
A taste of what we are planning. These are activity ideas, not scheduled events.
A picnic, a few good questions, and a new conversation as the sun goes down.
Swap partners, trade stories, and find your way past “What is your major?”
A ridiculous product, a team of new faces, and a very unserious big idea.
Learn a snack from someone’s home and hear the story that comes with it.
Honest conversations about changing plans, new directions, and what comes next.
Meet your team, find the corner pieces, and make something click together.
A FAMILIAR RHYTHM
Small gatherings. About 90 minutes.
A new activity, with the same welcoming spirit.
A host or regular helps you settle in and meet a few people. Share a little, listen, or pass. You set your pace.
A shared activity gives you an easy reason to talk, laugh, learn, and try something together.
A little appreciation, plans to meet again, and familiar faces to say hello to around campus.
A LITTLE MORE CONNECTION
“See you next time”
should feel like it means something.
We are building a community that continues beyond one evening.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND GOOD COMPANY
Meet Katharina and Sofia,
the co-founders of Good Company.
We started with a simple wish: to create a community where people feel known, and where showing up once becomes seeing each other again.

Hi, I’m Katharina! I’m an international student from Vienna, Austria, studying business with a focus on Marketing and Entrepreneurship at LMU. I love going on walks, traveling, and discovering new places.
Building a life away from home has taught me how exciting, and sometimes difficult, it can be to find your people. I know that meeting people is only the beginning; feeling known takes time, consistency, and shared experiences. That’s why Sofia and I started Good Company: to create a welcoming space where you can show up as yourself, see familiar faces, and build a sense of belonging together.

Hi, I’m Sofia! I’m an international student from Italy majoring in International Relations at LMU. I love traveling, meeting new people, and discovering different cultures. I also used to ski race!
As an international student, I understand that building a life away from home means finding a community of your own. Even when you love meeting new people, lasting friendships take time and opportunities to keep showing up for each other. Katharina and I started Good Company to create those opportunities: a welcoming place to share experiences, get to know one another, and build a sense of belonging.
BEFORE YOU COME ALONG
Absolutely. You do not need to bring a friend or know anyone beforehand. We plan to have hosts welcome newcomers and help make introductions.
Undergraduate LMU students who want a sense of belonging, meaningful friendships, and enjoyable time together. All class years and majors are welcome, whether you are meeting your first friends or expanding your circle.
No. A personal invitation is one way to hear about us, but you are welcome to discover us on your own. Any event registration or capacity details will be shared in advance.
We plan to charge no membership dues and keep core gatherings free. Personal purchases, such as your coffee on a coffee walk, are your responsibility unless we say they are covered. Any optional activity costs will be shared beforehand so you can decide whether to attend.
No. Listening is welcome, and you can pass on any prompt. We ask everyone to respect one another and treat personal stories with care. This is a social and educational community, not professional counseling.
We are developing Good Company and planning our first events. Dates and locations have not been announced yet. Sign up through our join form to hear when our first gatherings are confirmed.
